I’ve come to realise that you don’t have to have negative things going on in your life to start feeling run down, frazzled, overwhelmed and tired. You can simply be so busy in your work and personal life. A case of too much doing and not enough stopping to look after yourself.
In the past, I have certainly had my moments where I have battled with those exact feelings. It is so easy, being a Mum and having a business to put everyone and everything on your to do list first before I do myself. No surprises here, when I tell you that I eventually ended up looking less than glowy and taking my frustrations and overwhelmed feelings out on the tangled mess of coat hangers that used to be my wardrobe (or whatever else may have bothered me in the moment!)
The Self Love list is all about creating a consistent daily practice of taking the time to look after yourself. It is a list of things I can choose from each day- to give myself the love and care I need. To be a better person, not only for myself, but for others.
I’m going to ask you to begin reflecting on all the things that you love to do. The things that light you up from the inside. Then I’m going to ask you to write them down on the list I’ve created for you below.
When you are feeling low in yourself, in your mood, look to the list for inspiration to help you shake yourself out of it. Even better, aim to do something on the list for yourself everyday before you enter an overwhelmed, unhappy state. Even if it’s just for ten minutes. Everybody has ten minutes in their day. To read a book, walk in the sunshine, phone a friend, create a new playlist of songs to dance or relax to, to give yourself a manicure at home – whatever might be on your list that you love to do.
You can find your own copy of the Self-Love list here for you to print for yourself.
I’d love for you to share with me in the comments below what is on your list- to help inspire myself as well as others xo
